About Saritas Chihuahuas

We have been breeding Chihuahuas, and only Chihuahuas, for over 25 years. We started out with only one. We loved her personality and friendliness so much; we purchased a Chihuahua kennel and have never regretted it. The Chihuahua is one of the smallest and smartest dogs. They only want to please you. They are small enough to take with you in a purse sized carrier. If you travel on an airplane, they will fit under the seat in front of you. They love to give kisses. Most are excellent watch dogs.

We have all the rare colors including the merles. So if you are interested in a particular color, call us. We usually have it. We have all sizes, from T-cup (approximately 3 lbs) to the larger ones. We have the long hair and the smooth coated puppies. We have the Deer and the Cobby (apple head). We do not have any mixed breeds. All of our adults are (AKC) American Kennel Club registered. The puppies are (NAPDR) North American Kennel Club registered. If you want an AKC registered puppy let me know and I will let you know if we can get AKC papers for you and the extra price for the puppy.

We are licensed through the state and our kennel is inspected many times during the year. We are NOT a puppy mill and do not sell to pet shops. We sell our puppies to people, not businesses. Some of our dogs are in movies and a few regularly visit older folks in rest homes. Some compete in agility and are winners. But most are just lovers of people. So if you want a puppy to sit on your lap while you watch TV or work on your computer, or take with you this is the dog. If you want an outside dog, this is not the one for you. They love to be with you wherever you go.

The puppy will be (UTD) up to date with their shots. We do not sell our pups until they are 9 weeks or more of age and have had at least 2 shots. At that time they will have been dewormed several times and will have Advantage for fleas. The T-cup puppies will be older because we will want to make sure that you won’t have any problems with low sugar (hypoglycemia). We have a 3 day guarantee. This gives you time to take the puppy to your Vet to have him/her checked out. If the Vet finds anything medically wrong, we will replace him or give you your money back.

We currently feed our puppies Eukanubia for small puppies. We will send you enough food to feed for 2 to 3 days. If you will be switching to a different dog food, let me know and I will tell you the best way to change to the new food, so that he won’t have such a rough time with the change.

Remember that puppies are very curious, so all poisons must be kept out of reach. Prevention is the best policy. Watch your puppy closely for the first few weeks. Keep him safe and you will have many great years with him.
